About the Journal

The journal SocioHumanitas has been published since 2026. The founder and publisher of the journal is Zhetysu University named after I. Zhansugurov.

The journal is issued four times a year and publishes articles in the following main scientific areas:

  • Social Sciences: sociology, social philosophy, economics, political science;
  • Law and Legal Studies: theory and practice of law, legal transformations in society;
  • Humanities Research: history, art studies, religious studies, cultural studies;
  • Socio-Cultural Processes: identity, collective memory, value-based and digital transformations;
  • Philology, Discourse Studies, and Interdisciplinary Approaches.

The list of fields is approved by the Academic Council of Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov.

The journal has approved cover and title page designs indicating the name of the university, issue details, ISSN, editorial board members, editorial policy, publication ethics, and website information.

All articles published in the journal are registered in the CrossRef database, and each article is assigned a DOI.

The editorial board includes leading scholars from Kazakhstan and abroad.

The journal follows the policy of an academic informational publication. All articles are available on the journal’s website in full-text open access.

Aims and Objectives of the Journal

The aim of the journal is to promote the development of social sciences and humanities and interdisciplinary understanding of society and the individual, to support research on social, cultural, economic, and legal processes, to create a platform for international academic dialogue, and to promote the ideas of domestic and foreign researchers.

Objectives

  • To create a favorable informational environment to support and promote innovative directions in social sciences, humanities, economic-legal, and interdisciplinary research that contribute to a deeper understanding of society, individuals, social and cultural processes, economic activity, and sustainable development.
  • To familiarize the academic community with current research findings in social sciences, law, economics, history, art studies, religious studies, philology, digital and humanities disciplines, and to provide an open platform for discussion and exchange of ideas.
  • To enhance publication culture and improve the quality of peer review, ensuring a transparent and professional review process.
  • To provide full-text open access to publications and increase the visibility, accessibility, openness, and citation of research results in the international academic community.
