Journal Policy

Previously unpublished articles by the author(s) are accepted for publication in the journal in Kazakh, Russian, and English, provided that they correspond to the thematic focus of the journal and comply with the manuscript formatting requirements. Only one article per author may be published in a single issue of the journal. An author may publish no more than two articles per year. The number of co-authors must not exceed five.

Authors are responsible for the accuracy, originality, and validity of the research results. During the review process by the editorial board and reviewers of the journal, as well as after publication, authors undertake not to submit the same manuscript for consideration or publication in another journal.

Manuscripts submitted to the editorial office must be prepared in accordance with the basic publishing standards for article formatting under GOST 7.5-98 “Journals, Collections, Information Publications. Publishing Format of Published Materials,” and reference lists must comply with GOST 7.1-2003 “Bibliographic Record. Bibliographic Description. General Requirements and Rules.”

The manuscript must be uploaded by the author through the online submission system for correspondence, indicating all metadata of the manuscript and its authors. Manuscripts submitted for publication must comply with the Rules for Formatting Materials Submitted to the Journal (Appendix A) and the Requirements for the Structure of a Manuscript for Publication in the Journal (Appendix B). The manuscript must be formatted in accordance with the template (Appendix C). When submitting an article, authors must provide a cover letter (Appendix D). For internal university authors, a faculty approval statement is required instead of a cover letter (Appendix E).

The recommended length of the article is 3,000–6,000 words (excluding author information, abstract, and reference list). Illustrations, figures, and tables included in the text are counted toward the total word limit. All manuscripts submitted to the editorial board are checked using the licensed plagiarism detection system StrikePlagiarism. The originality level of the manuscript must be at least 75%. The editorial board reserves the right to reject manuscripts with a low level of originality.

During the manuscript processing stages, communication between the editorial office, the corresponding author, and reviewers is carried out via the electronic (online) OJS platform on the official website of the journal: https://sociohumanitas.zhetysu.edu.kz/sh/index .

The editorial board reviews manuscripts submitted by the author(s), organizes their peer review (review form – Appendix E), and makes a decision on publication or rejection within one week from the date the manuscript is submitted on the electronic platform.

The final decision on acceptance of the manuscript for publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief.
